ANTWERP, Belgium (Reuters) - Mozart, an iguana with an erection that has lasted for over a week, will have his penis amputated in the next couple of days.

Veterinarians at Antwerp's Aquatopia had sought to treat the animal's problem, but decided removal was the only solution because of the risk of infection. The good news for Mozart and his mates is that male iguanas have two penises.

Mozart, sitting on the shoulders of his keeper as camera crews focused on his red, swollen erection, seemed unperturbed by the news.

"It doesn't bother him. He doesn't know what amputation means," said vet Luc Lambrecht, adding that Mozart's sexual activity should be undimmed by the operation.

"I don't think so. That's all in his head."

If you have a 4 legged pet, esp a dog, this HAS to happen to you if you interact with em at all.My dog loves company, esp my brother;so earlier today when Bro came by to p/u the laptop I just tuned for him.The nutty pup, all 90# of muscle and bone, just bumrushes me thru the door, off the step and splays me out like a dead chicken trying to re-animate.I pop up having saved the puter from harm and the freaking savage just leapt out of me as I was pissed(even tho there was no malice,rage knows no confines)and I was about to whip a nice oak trestle type chair at the poor boy.But before I could say Mf'er twice my Bro was telling me not to be dastardly,and I thusly chilled.He is one of the only people alive that can do that.Do not worry, I hugged and kissed the dog after he came back.(He split at the tone of voice as he is quite bright)Now you may say, Hey Chris you are an asshole!OK, sometimes, but this pup of mine has about killed me a few times...ever fall flat backwards onto your head on concrete?It happened to me walking that lil moose.Now I shall wait to see if I can feel the twinges of the places that were strained by catching the fall.Hell making it past 50 and being as healthy as I am, I need to count my blessings and hug the pup again, maybe give him a cookie...and remember to let him out first from now on...TCBS BC
